G1, the lightest helmet Lazer has ever made, resets the bar for top level performance cycling. So light you will forget it’s on your head! Featuring a superlight version of our Advanced Rollsys System® and an adjustable head basket creating an easy to adjust and always perfect fit. Fully vented for maximum cooling. Race or Comfort padding sets included to shave grams or increase comfort. With the integration of the MIPS layer, the Genesis MIPS also has an additional protection aspect against rotational impacts.
Weighing in at 235 grams, the G1 MIPS is the lightest helmet we have ever made. It is the climbers’ favorite on the ProTour. Not only is it a featherweight, but it’s extremely well ventilated. Twenty-two vents and internal air channels create 8% more airflow over the head than wearing no helmet at all.It’s also comfortable - vital for long days in the saddle. The Super Lightweight ARS Fit System ensures a snug and comfortable fit with no pressure points. The head basket is adjustable. Two sets of pads are included so you can choose between superlight and comfort pads. Awarded the esteemed Virginia Tech 5-Star “Best Available” protection rating, you can trust that the G1 MIPS is a great choice. The MIPS system helps reduce the risk of rotational injury.When you’re after every bit of speed, the addition of the Aeroshell (sold separately) transforms the G1 MIPS into an aero helmet.
ADVANCED ROLLSYS SYSTEM (ARS)
By turning a smooth thumb wheel, situated on top of the helmet the system permits an accurate and progressive peripheral sizing adjustment. The fit of the helmet will symmetrically be tightened without any pressure points on the head.

MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) is a revolutionary technology, providing protection with respect to angled impacts.
OPTIONAL AEROSHELL
The Aeroshell is a plastic cover, designed to fit perfectly over specific models of Lazer helmets. The Aero Shell snaps into place and protects the riders head from wind and rain while still allowing for some air movement under the front of the helmet and out the rear vents.
